This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile applications and websites published by Vishwa Parivartak Ishwariya Vidhyalay (Paramshanti):

We are committed to protecting the privacy of every devotee, reader, and visitor. This policy explains what information (if any) we collect, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.

App-Specific Disclosures

1. Paramshanti Books (org.paramshanti.books)

Paramshanti Books does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. The following data is saved only on your device in app-private storage and is deleted when you uninstall the app:

  • Reading progress (current book, current page, percentage complete)

  • Saved books and bookmarks

  • Recent in-app searches

  • Selected language (English, हिंदी, ગુજરાતી)

  • Font size and reading preferences

  • Onboarding completion status

The app requests no special Android permissions beyond the default storage access required to read books bundled with the app.

2. Bapuji Meditation (org.paramshanti.bapuji_meditation)

Type: Offline guided meditation and spiritual practice app Internet required: No Account/Login: None

Bapuji Meditation does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. All meditation audio, guided sessions, and instructional content are bundled with the app and play entirely from your device. The following data is saved only on your device in app-private storage and is deleted when you uninstall the app:

  • Meditation session history and completion progress

  • Audio playback settings (volume, playback speed)

  • Bookmarked meditations

  • Reminder time settings (scheduled locally on your device — no server involvement)

  • Selected language preference

  • Onboarding completion status

Permissions requested:

  • Default audio playback permissions for playing bundled meditation audio

  • POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13 and above) — only if you choose to enable optional daily meditation reminders. All reminders are scheduled locally on your device using Android's AlarmManager. No data is transmitted to any server.

  • FOREGROUND_SERVICE / WAKE_LOCK — to allow uninterrupted audio playback during a meditation session, even when the screen is off

You may disable notifications at any time from your device Settings without affecting other app functionality.

Network Usage

Both Paramshanti Books and Bapuji Meditation are 100% offline applications. They do not require an internet connection to function. No data is sent to or received from any servers because we do not operate any server for these apps.

If you tap an external link inside an app (for example, our website paramshanti.org or our YouTube channel), your default browser opens that link — at which point the privacy policies of those external services apply, not ours.

Website Privacy

The websites www.paramshanti.org and www.paramshantiblogs.org are hosted on Squarespace. Squarespace may use standard server logs and cookies for site operation, security, and aggregate analytics. No personally identifiable information is collected by us through these websites unless you voluntarily submit it (for example, by emailing us or contacting us via the provided phone numbers).

Data Safety Declaration (Google Play)

In accordance with Google Play's Data Safety requirements, we declare for both Paramshanti Books and Bapuji Meditation:

  • No data collected: Neither app collects any user data

  • No data shared: No data is transferred to any third party

  • No data encryption needed in transit: Because no data is transmitted from the apps

  • No data deletion request mechanism needed: No personal data is ever collected or stored on our side. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored preferences from your device.

Third-Party Services

Neither Paramshanti Books nor Bapuji Meditation integrates with any third-party services, SDKs, analytics tools, advertising networks, or cloud services. There are no third parties involved in the functioning of either app.

Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Both apps contain no advertisements, no tracking, no in-app purchases, and no user-generated content. They are safe for users of all ages and comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Your Rights Under DPDPA (India)

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA), even though we collect no personal data through our apps, you have the following rights:

  • Right to Erasure — Request deletion of personal data we may hold (where applicable)

Our apps contain no in-app purchases and no advertisements. All spiritual content is offered freely under the Paramshanti mission's Gyaan Daan Mahadaan (Knowledge as the Greatest Donation) philosophy, in service of Bapuji Dashrathbhai Patel's vision.

Android Auto-Backup

If you have Android Auto-Backup enabled on your device, Android may automatically back up app preferences (such as reading progress or language settings) to your personal Google Drive account. This backup is controlled entirely by you and Google — we do not access or receive it. You can disable Android Auto-Backup in your device Settings under Google > Backup.
